
Qahwa | Arabic Coffee Recipe
A vegetarian Arab recipe with green coffee beans - lightly roasted and coarsely ground, cardamom (elaichi) pods/seeds - crushed, water. Ready in 30 min, serves 4.

To make this traditional Qahwa/ Qahwah – Arabic Coffee Recipe, bring water to boil in a saucepan
green coffee beans - lightly roasted and coarsely ground(1 tablespoon)water(2 1/2 cups)rose water - optional(1 teaspoon) - 2
When it boils, add ground coffee

After 10 minutes of boiling, add cloves, crushed cardamom and stir once and boil for another 4 to 5 minutes
cardamom (elaichi) pods/seeds - crushed(1 tablespoon) - 4
Now switch off the flame, cover and let coffee grounds settle at the bottom for a minute

Do not stir at this time since the liquid needs to settle

Now add the rose water and saffron if you are using them
water(2 1/2 cups)saffron strands - optional(0.1 teaspoon)rose water - optional(1 teaspoon) - 7
Strain and pour the steaming coffee into the flask or teapot
