To begin making the Paneer Matar Keema Recipe, heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan
paneer (homemade cottage cheese) - crumbled(1/2 cup) - 2
Add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida and let it splutter
cumin seeds (jeera)(1/2 teaspoon)mustard seeds(1/2 teaspoon)pinch asafoetida (hing)(1) - 3
Once the mustard seeds splutter, add the finely chopped onions
tomato - finely chopped(1)cumin seeds (jeera)(1/2 teaspoon)mustard seeds(1/2 teaspoon)onion - finely chopped(1) - 4
Cook them till they turn soft and translucent

Once the onions are soft, add the ginger garlic paste and let it cook for about 2 minutes

After 2 minutes add the finely chopped tomatoes and tomato puree

Next, add the spices including red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt
coriander (dhania) leaves - few sprigsred chilli powder(1 teaspoon)turmeric powder (haldi)(1/2 teaspoon)coriander powder (dhania)(1 teaspoon)garam masala powder(1/2 teaspoon)salt - to taste - 9
Let it cook for 5 minutes

Now add the mashed potato, crumbled paneer and 1/4 cup of water
