    To begin making the Uttarkhand Style Mixed Bhaddu Dal recipe, firstly soak the urad dal and rajma seperately overnight or for minimum 5 hours

    Take a medium wok, heat 2 teaspoons of oil, add bay leaf, cloves, whole black pepper, turmeric powder and red chilli powder

    Next, add the boiled dal to wok and simmer for 8 minutes then add the cream

    Meanwhile heat a spoonful of oil in a tadka pan, add coriander seeds, cumin seeds and let it cook for about 15 seconds
