To make Andhra Style Kandi Pachadi, first heat oil in a pan
oil - 2
Add tur dal, cumin seeds and cook till it becomes light brown
cumin seeds(1 teaspoon) - 3
Now add urad dal and dry red chillies and cook for 1 to 2 minutes
white urad dal (split)(1/4 cup)dry red chillies(3)white urad dal(1 teaspoon)dry red chillies(2) - 4
Turn off the gas and allow this mixture to cool

Add tamarind, garlic, some water and grind it in a mixer grinder
tamarind(18 grams)bud garlic(4) - 6
Take out in a bowl

Now heat the oil in a tempering light in the tempering
oil - 8
Add the mustard seeds, urad dal and cook it for 10 seconds
white urad dal (split)(1/4 cup)cumin seeds(1 teaspoon)salt - to taste mustard(1 teaspoon)white urad dal(1 teaspoon) - 9
Now add curry leaves, dry red chillies, asafoetida and cook it for 10 seconds
dry red chillies(3)dry red chillies(2)sprig curry leaves(1) - 10
Add this tempering to the chutney and mix

Serve Andhra Style Kandi Pachdi with Keirai Sambar, Cabbage Thoran, Rice and Papad for dinner
