    To begin making Okra Bamia recipe, first heat oil in a saucepan and let it heat

    Add the onion and garlic and sauté till the onion becomes translucent

    Add the coriander powder, chilli powder and okra and stir fry for a minute

    Add about 1 cup of water to the okra and add salt

    salt - to taste

    Bring it to a boil and cook for another 2-3 minute

    Now add the tomato paste and stir it, cook the mixture with the lid on top at a low heat

    Wait till the okra is cooked and see to that the sauce is thick

    Add the lime juice and give it a good mix

    lemon juice(1 tablespoon)

    Butter Garlic Naan or Saffron Pilaf can be served with Bamia Okra Recipe
