    To make oriya dalma, soak the tur dal in water for 4 to 5 hours

    Wash, chop and keep the vegetables separately

    In a pressure cooker, add lentils, 3 cups of water, vegetables, salt and turmeric powder

    Cook until the city comes 2 and after that reduce the heat and let it cook for 5 minutes

    Allow the pressure to drain and keep aside

    Open the cooker and add red chili powder, cinnamon powder, salt, instant spices and sugar

    Add dry red chillies, fennel seeds and let it cook for 20 seconds

    After roasting, turn off the gas and put this tempering in the lentils

    coriander (dhania) leaves - chopped

    Serve Dalma Orea with boondi raita and phulka for dinner
