Add sugar and eggs; beat.

Add flour and vanilla, mixing well.

Stir in nuts and cherries.
maraschino cherries chopped and drained(1 c) - 5
Spoon into greased tube pan and bake in preheated 350° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
