    To make Moong Dal Methi vegetable, first heat oil in a pan

    green moong dal - soaked for 3 hours(1/2 cup)

    Add cumin seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds

    cumin seeds(1 teaspoon)cumin seeds(1 teaspoon)cumin powder(1/2 teaspoon)

    After 10 seconds, add green chillies, asafoetida and let it cook for a few seconds, now add onions and cook till the onions become soft

    green moong dal - soaked for 3 hours(1/2 cup)onion - thinly sliced(1)green chillies - chopped(4)asafoetida - a pinch

    After the onion becomes soft, add ginger, tomatoes and let it cook for 2 minutes

    tomatoes - finely chopped(2)onion - thinly sliced(1)ginger - grated(1 teaspoon)

    Now add moong dal, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 1 minute

    Now add 1/2 cup of water, salt and mix it all

    Cover the pan and let it cook for 7 to 8 minutes

    Add the fenugreek and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
