Moong Dal Methi Ki Sabzi (Recipe in Hindi)

To make Moong Dal Methi vegetable, first heat oil in a pan
green moong dal - soaked for 3 hours(1/2 cup) - 2
Add cumin seeds and let it cook for 10 seconds
cumin seeds(1 teaspoon)cumin seeds(1 teaspoon)cumin powder(1/2 teaspoon) - 3
After 10 seconds, add green chillies, asafoetida and let it cook for a few seconds, now add onions and cook till the onions become soft
green moong dal - soaked for 3 hours(1/2 cup)onion - thinly sliced(1)green chillies - chopped(4)asafoetida - a pinch - 4
After the onion becomes soft, add ginger, tomatoes and let it cook for 2 minutes
tomatoes - finely chopped(2)onion - thinly sliced(1)ginger - grated(1 teaspoon) - 5
Now add moong dal, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 1 minute
green moong dal - soaked for 3 hours(1/2 cup)turmeric powder(1/4 teaspoon)coriander powder(3/4 teaspoon)cumin powder(1/2 teaspoon) - 6
Now add 1/2 cup of water, salt and mix it all
water(1/2 cup) - 7
Cover the pan and let it cook for 7 to 8 minutes

Add the fenugreek and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
fenugreek - finely chopped(2 cups) - 9
Serve hot

Serve fenugreek moong dal with Rajasthani kadhi and phulka for dinner
